He is also author of special research reports on the cruise industry for:- The Economist Intelligence Unit, TTI , The Financial Times and most recently author of three research reports published by Seatrade Communications.
Tony has presented papers on cruise and ferry industries at variety of travel conferences including ABTA’s (Association of British Travel Agents) annual convention; Cruise & Ferry conferences in London; Seatrade cruise conferences in Miami, Dubai, Genoa and Hamburg. |
David Walker, Owner, World Cruiseship Services
David Walker has nearly 40 years experience working within and for the cruise industry. Among the posts that he has held, have been Director of Cruising for Thomson Holidays, Managing Director of Granada Travel, and, Managing Director of Voyages of Discovery.
For many years, he has also operated his own company - World Cruiseship Services - as a consultancy and shipbroking service to the industry which has attracted high profile clients from around the world. He now brings his extensive operational, marketing, ship valuation and financial expertise to the Seatrade Cruise Research Centre service. |
Luis de Carvalho, CEO, Consult-DC
Luis de Carvalho is the owner and CEO of Consult DC, a port and destination development consulting firm. He has an extensive career in the cruise and hospitality industry spanning 24 years and taking on different roles with several cruise lines, including 12 years with Crystal Cruises.
His expertise in port operations and development took shape while representing the line as Corporate Port Coordinator covering all regions of the globe.
Additionally he also took posts as Director Cruise Operations with Ultramar Express /TUI Spain, Tumlare Corporation and Kuoni Destination Management in Europe.
Luis offers his expertise in port and terminal logistics, shore side cruise operations, itinerary and tour planning plus port and destination development to clients around the world.

Chris Hayman, Chairman, Seatrade
Christopher Hayman has been at the helm of Seatrade for 22 years. He has a history degree from Oxford and was involved in the development of the Seatrade Cruise Shipping Convention in Miami from its inception in 1985. He has played an active role in Seatrade’s management training activities, based at Cambridge University and also established the Seatrade Cruise Academy in Oxford and Cambridge.

Mary Bond, Editor, Seatrade Cruise Review/Seatrade Insider
Mary has worked in the shipping industry for 30 years, first for Lloyd’s Register of Shipping before joining Seatrade’s editorial team in 1985. She is managing publisher of Seatrade’s publications both in print and online and editor of Seatrade Cruise Review, the world’s leading cruise publication launch in 1997.
In addition to her editorial/publishing role, Mary is executive director of Seatrade and sits on the advisory board to Cruise Britain. |
